Healthy ageing, dementia, and what we can do to reduce risk.

People are living much longer these days in many countries. For those of us privileged to have better nutrition and healthcare access, it is a great time to be alive.

Reducing the risk of dementia

Something grabbed my attention in a recent overview of a longitudinal study into reducing the risk of dementia. Cognitive activity is deemed more important than physical exercise.

Some of my favourite things are cognitive activities; drawing, art-making, word games, singing, and reading. How about you? Maybe you like puzzles, board games, crosswords…
