‘Ag eitilt‘, pronouned ‘egg et-ilt‘ is Irish for ‘flying’. In Kathryn’s current work, birds and other winged creatures provide ideal symbolism as she weaves poetry and paintings together to narrate a story that is both deeply personal and universal.
The use of colour is fundamental to her practice. Each painting contains layers of different materials, collage, and textures.
